Lifelong access to the course materials

This advanced-level course offers a detailed and practical guide to mastering Rachmaninoff’s Prelude in C Minor, Op. 23 No. 7. While the piece is famous for its rhythmic energy and turbulent drive, it also demands refined control of tone, rubato, and phrasing, making it a perfect study for both power and subtlety, as well as developing and refining finger dexterity.

You will learn an efficient, ergonomic approach to technique that helps build dexterity and speed without unnecessary tension. We explore clear fingering strategies, effective practice methods, and natural hand movement to keep your playing relaxed and precise even in fast or repetitive patterns.

The course also covers sophisticated pedalling techniques and how to shape expressive legato lines. Rubato, dynamic shaping, and phrasing are explained in detail to help you bring out the full emotional range of the piece.

Ideal for advanced pianists who want to combine technical brilliance with expressive depth.
