Chopin Nocturne in B-flat minor, Op. 9 No. 1
Intermediate/Advanced level
This course is designed for intermediate pianists who want to build universal piano-playing skills through one of Chopin’s most poetic works.
We will focus on technical efficiency and intelligent fingering, with detailed explanations of hand choreography that allow you to master the piece easily, without tension, and with a rich, resonant sound. Every technical decision is linked to musical intention, so technique never exists for its own sake.
A major part of the course is devoted to phrasing, pedaling, singing touch, and refined dynamic nuances, helping you shape a truly expressive and stylistically convincing interpretation. You will learn how to make the melody breathe, how to support it harmonically, and how to control long lines with clarity and elegance.
The course is recorded with a four-camera setup, including a dedicated pedal view, allowing you to observe every detail of my demonstrations: fingers, hands, arm movement, and pedaling. This makes the learning process precise, transparent, and easy to follow.
By the end of the course, you will not only play this Nocturne with confidence and freedom, but also gain transferable skills that will improve your approach to a wide range of lyrical piano repertoire.

About your instructor:
I'm a Ukrainian pianist currently living in Austria, and I've had the privilege of building a strong reputation in the world of classical music. Over the years, I've achieved success in several international competitions, solidifying my position as a well-known concert performer. However, my passion doesn't stop at performing; I'm also deeply committed to teaching the piano.
As a piano teacher, I go beyond simply focusing on style and musicality. My primary goal is to help students optimize their piano-playing techniques for efficiency. I've had the pleasure of working with students from all corners of the globe, assisting them in revamping their piano techniques, relieving tension, recovering from piano-related injuries, and developing effective learning strategies. I take a comprehensive approach to piano instruction, aiming to be a valuable resource for pianists looking to improve their skills, overcome challenges, and realize their full potential.
I wish you an exciting learning experience!
Sincerely,
